Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

INTERESTING FACTS | HISTORY OF JOHOR | JOHOR ROYAL FAMILY'S MILITARY INVOLVEMENT - PART SIX
One of Sultan Sir Ibrahim's key focus was to ensure the Johor Military Force to be always ready for any situation. According to history books, Johor was involved in an incident in Singapore during the First World War. Some of the British army's 5th Light Infantry, consisting of soldiers from India, rebelled against the British army in Singapore.
Understanding the importance of regional safety, Sultan Sir Ibrahim offered 190 members of the Johor Military Force to work with the British army in Singapore, and His Majesty also spent time with the soldiers a day before returning to Johor. The rebels reportedly crossed over to Johor the next day, which raised His Majesty's concern and worry for the safety of the Johor rakyat and state. The incident in 1915 saw a JMF member of English descent, Sergeant Major Cullimore, sacrifice his life.
During the battle in Kulai, His Majesty's army was able to prevent the situation from becoming worse and all forty members of the mutiny surrendered when they faced His Majesty and agreed to put down their weapons in front of His Majesty. The incident was highly praised by the King and the government of England and saw the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George being granted to His Majesty. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.
