There are various types of food that can help reduce stress caused by a stay at home order. Besides that, there are also food that can help boost your immunity to fight certain diseases.

Food high in Vitamin C such as orange, guava, papaya and pineapple can help improve your immune system. These fruits can be easily found at supermarkets and grocery stores during the Movement Control Order.

Besides that, spices such as curry powder, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom can be used as key ingredients of a dish. These spices have a lot of nutrients to improve your body's immunity.

So does food with contents of zinc such as honey and seafood like prawns, oysters, lobster, clams and gonggong.

To help reduce your stress levels while at home, food high in magnesium such as tofu, banana, almond, cashew and groundnuts are recommended. Besides that, food high in Omega-3 such as salmon, mackerel, spinach, water spinach and broccoli have a similar function.

Also avoid eating food that are high in Glycaemic Index (GI), fats and salt. Food high in GI can increase the sugar levels in your blood. The increase followed by a sudden drop in your sugar levels is one of the factors that cause stress at home.
