The year 2020 will see Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) play in the AFC Champions League (ACL), the biggest stage of Asian club football, for the second time.

Interestingly JDT were drawn to face three former winners in the two campaigns.

Kashima Antlers, Guangzhou Evergrande and Suwon Bluewings are elite clubs who have had the honour of becoming ACL champions in the past.

These strong and highly rated Asian teams are set to be good sparring partners for JDT and JDT players will surely be noticed by scouts, which will increase local players' profiles. It is a good exposure for the club.

JDT's official page, JOHOR Southern Tigers, has also received positive comments from the participating clubs as a gesture of respect for the Southern Tigers. JDT fans were encouraged to come to the stadium to show support for the Red and Blue squad.
