Football clubs from Thailand Has been eligible to compete in the AFC Champions League, another 1 team from the season 2021 onwards, after the announcement from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) sent a letter to Football Association of Thailand To inform the number of teams at the club from Thailand Will participate in the AFC Champions League from 1 + 2 (1 group automatic qualifier + 2 teams qualifying) to 2 + 2 (2 group automatic group final + 2 teams qualifier), starting from Year 2021

The Asian Football League rankings from AFC Thailand are ranked 8 in the continent and 4 in the East. It is second only to the Chinese, Japanese and South Korean leagues, in which the AFC Champions League 2021 season will be the first year that teams are added to the group stages from 32 to 40.
