Local newspapers today reported Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) owner HRH Tunku Mahkota Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Regent of Johor's aspiration in wanting the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium to be the best stadium in Southeast Asia. [1/8]

Also reported was the JDT Headquarters that would officiallys open on 4 September, while the stadium is expected to be completed early next year.

"It's very positive for JDT and honestly, I very eager for the completion. My hope for the stadium is it will become the best in Southeast Asia.

In addition, I want it to be known and recognised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA," His Royal Highness explained to reporters after a friendly match between JDT Staff and Team Media FC at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin, the other day.

At the same time, HRH Tunku Mahkota Ismail said the club has several plans to generate revenues for the club such as renting out football pitches.

Elaborating on the transformation done to JDT, His Royal Highness also said the first thing done was maintaining a good pitch quality before proceeding to other steps.

His Royal Highness also shared about the early stages of preparing facilities and encouraged other clubs to do the same in stages based on their own capabilities.

His Royal Highness also welcomed any team wanting to visit and observe how JDT operate, citing that clubs must together play a role for Malaysian football to benefit.
