Debutants in the competition and the first Malaysian side to compete in the AFC Champions League, Southern Tigers have fought tooth and nail to make an impression and are still within a shout to reach the knockout stages come the group stage finale this week.

JDT have collected four points - including a win over defending champions Kashima Antlers in Larkin - and need three points against Gyeongnam in Korea Republic to stand a chance of progressing.
