Asuhan dan didikan kepada waris-waris pemerintah Kesultanan Johor telah membawa kesinambungan keperibadian unik yang ada dalam diri DYMM Sultan Johor dan juga pewaris takhta, DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor. Raja dan rakyat berpisah tiada bukan sekadar istilah yang menghiasi dada akhbar tetapi ia sudah sebati dalam jiwa baginda sejak dahulu.
Baginda mempunyai pelbagai keunikan untuk mendekatkan Institusi Kesultanan Johor bersama rakyat jelata. Kehadiran Bulan Ramadan sama sekali tidak menghentikan Istana dari terus mendekati rakyat. Perancangan seringkali dirangka oleh baginda sendiri sebelum ketibaan Ramadan untuk beramah mesra, berbuka puasa dan bersolat bersama-sama Bangsa Johor.
DYMM Sultan Johor dan DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor juga amat gemar sekali membeli sendiri juadah berbuka puasa di bazar ramadan. Perkara seperti ini sudah dimulakan sejak bertahun lama dan ianya memberi peluang rakyat untuk beramah mesra disamping baginda dapat mengagih sendiri juadah yang dibeli kepada yang lebih memerlukan.
Ini tidak termasuk pelbagai sumbangan dan sedekah peribadi kepada golongan asnaf, anak-anak yatim, pelajar miskin malah baginda turut menyumbang juadah berbuka puasa kepada golongan pekerja-pekerja buruh warga asing. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

With the Johor Sultanate royalty being educated and nurtured well, it has resulted in HM Sultan of Johor and HRH Crown Prince of Johor having unique personal traits. For example, the phrase 'Ruler and people are inseparable' are not empty words but it is something that has been instilled upon His Majesty from a young age.
His Majesty has unique ways to bring the Johor Sultanate and the people together. Even the arrival of the month of Ramadan has not hindered the Palace from getting closer to the people. Plans have often been made by His Majesty in advance before Ramadan to mingle, break fast and pray with Bangsa Johor.
HM Sultan of Johor and HRH Crown Prince of Johor have also enjoyed buying fast-breaking food from Ramadan bazaars. It has been done for many years and given opportunities for the people to mingle with the royalty, and His Majesty has also used these moments to distribute food to the less fortunate.
This does not include various personal donations and contributions made to the underprivileged, orphans and poor students, and His Majesty has also contributed to breaking of fast events for foreign workers. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.
