FAKTA MENARIK | SEJARAH NEGERI JOHOR | KESUCIAN ISLAM DAN KEHARMONIAN SEMUA KAUM DI BAWAH KEPIMPINAN KESULTANAN JOHOR - BAHAGIAN DUA
Sultan Johor sejak dahulu memegang amanah kepimpinan seorang raja yang memelihara kesucian agama Islam sebagai agama rasmi kerajaan Johor.
Tidak menafikan hak beragama dan kepercayaan kaum lain, sokongan Kesultanan Johor adalah kerana rasa penghargaan dan keprihatinan baginda kepada kaum lain yang bernaung dibawah pemerintahan Kesultanan Johor.
Sebagai seorang Raja yang saksama, pada tahun 1883 Sultan Sir Abu Bakar berkenan mengurniakan tanah untuk masyarakat beragama Kristian membina gereja kini masih beroperasi di Jalan Gereja.
Sebelum itu pada tahun 1870, sebuah tokong Cina yang dijadikan simbol perpaduan kumpulan-kumpulan etnik Tionghua didirikan atas tanah kurniaan baginda.
Pada tahun 1911, Sultan Sir Ibrahim berkenan mengurniakan sebidang tanah bagi pembinaan kuil masyarakat India dan Sikh yang telah membentuk seakan sebuah pusat agama dan sosial bagi komuniti India di Johor Bahru. Kesemuanya masih berkeadaan baik sehingga hari ini.
Sebagai ketua agama Islam seperti termaktub dalam pelembagaan negeri, DYMM Sultan Johor memerintah dengan adil dan saksama. Kepelbagaian kaum di bawah kepimpinan Kesultanan Johor memperlihatkan kehidupan saling hormat menghormati antara satu sama lain.
Tambahan, kesetiaan rakyat Johor yang berbilang agama terhadap Kesultanan Johor adalah kemuafakatan yang terus diperkukuhkan. Sejarah hubungan baik Istana Johor dan kepelbagaian kaum di negeri ini sudah tercipta menjangkaui lebih 100 tahun. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

The Sultan of Johor has always had a royal duty to protect the sanctity of Islam as Johor's official religion.
Without denying others' rights to practise other religions and beliefs, the support from the Johor Sultanate has been given because of Their Majesties' appreciation and concern for other races living under the Johor Sultanate's reign.
As a just ruler, in 1883 Sultan Sir Abu Bakar bestowed a piece of land to the Christian community to build a church, which is still operational on Jalan Gereja.
Before that in 1870, a Chinese temple that became a symbol of unity for the Tionghua ethnic group was built on a piece of land bestowed by His Majesty.
In 1911, Sultan Sir Ibrahim bestowed a piece of land for the construction of a temple for Indian and Sikh communities, becoming a religious and social centre for the Indian community in Johor Bahru. All these places of worship are in still in a good condition today.
As the head of Islam as enshrined in the state constitution, HM Sultan of Johor has ruled fairly and justly. Various races under the Johor Sultanate's reign have lived in harmony with each other.
Furthermore, the loyalty of the Johor people of different religious beliefs to the Johor Sultanate has created a lasting pact of concord. Due to that, the good relationship between the Johor Palace and various races in this state has continued for over 100 years. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.
