Ifedayo Shines For Selangor, JDT Coach Figueroa Urges Caution

Ifedayo Olusegun Omosuyihad showed magic in his debut appearance for Selangor with a hat-trick to help the Red Giants defeat Kedah 3-1 last night.
The former Felda United FC and Melaka United strikers have already won the confidence of team coach B Sathianathan by proving his touch has not yet rusted.
Meanwhile, Perak coach Mehmed Durakovic is satisfied with the spirit and quality of his players when they beat PKNP FC 3-1 in the Super League.
Durakovic said that all of his players, including two import strikers from Brazil, managed to control the game since from the beginning of the match until the final whistle was blown.
“It’s not easy for them to survive a lot of games over a short period of time, especially during Ramadan. However, my men, especially local players, showed their high spirits and were in their own class to play well [yesterday].
Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) manager Luciano Figueroa dismissed the impression that the team was already on course to win their sixth consecutive Super League title this season.
Instead, the former JDT import star insisted the league’s rivals are not far away and JDT can’t get complacent, even though his side recently managed a 2-0 win over second played Pahang.
Figueroa said all the teams started to improve as the second half of the campaign is set to get underway. His statements were corroborated by surprising results elsewhere in the league, including Terengganu’s 3-5 to Petaling Jaya City.
“It’s proving that the team is in the middle of the table have started to fight the league and we can not underestimate the capabilities of the players in the middle and bottom of the league.
“The teams like Kedah, Selangor, and Perak have shown good performances and we can not underestimate them but must be careful and give the best performance against the team,” he said.
