Talented Johorean youngsters have brought honour to Johor by winning several medals and the Best Boxer award at the 2019 National Youth Boxing Championship. [1/4]

The championship, held the National Sports Council Complex in Keramat, Kuala Lumpur, saw Muhammad Haizad Haiqal Bin Johan receive the Best Boxer award in the 17-19 years category while Johor were also named the overall winners for the 14-16 years category.

Team Johor won one gold medal and three bronze medals in the 17-19 years age category while the Johor boxers in the 14-16 years category brought a return of two gold medals and three bronze medals.

This success proves that the future of local and Johor boxing is bright and that we could potentially see the birth of more young talents that can bring honour at the highest stage similar to Johor's professional boxer Muhamad Farkhan, who has won several Asian titles.
