Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) and development side JDT II are setting the pace in the top two tiers of Malaysian football, a sign that the philosophy and style of play implemented are reaping rewards. [1/7]

In addition to providing top-notch facilities and man-management, consistency is emphasised greatly at JDT by owner HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, and the results are telling.

Even the academy returned with four trophies - including three 2018 national Cups (Under-13, Under-15 and Under-18).

JDT have won 5 straight MSL titles while JDT II have consistently been in the Malaysia Premier League top 5 since 2013 and currently lead the standings despite operating at a lower budget compared to other second-tier teams clamouring for top-flight promotion.

The senior team defeated PJ City 1-0 in Petaling Jaya to maintain a two-point lead at the top of the Super League, while JDT II defeated Negeri Sembilan 3-0 at Pasir Gudang to extended their lead to three points.

JDT II have also played a match less than their Premier League competitors while the top flight seniors have had demanding AFC Champions League matches to juggle with the Super League campaign.

The Southern Tigers, both senior and development squads, are in a prime position - including being undefeated  - approaching the mid-way point of their respective campaigns. This is in line with the mission and vision of the club to ensure success in all fronts.
