JDT, Persib, Bangkok United starlets to lock horns with Europe’s top sides at JSSL 7s
A trio of famous Southeast Asian clubs will send their youth teams to compete against some of Europe’s finest in the JSSL 7s – Asia’s largest youth tournament – from April 19 to 21.
Five-time Malaysia Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim, Indonesian giants Persib Bandung and Bangkok United, a rising force in Thai League 1 are the three professional clubs that will send sides to participate in this weekend’s JSSL 7s.
The Singapore-based tournament has significantly grown in magnitude since its inauguration in 2013 and will, this year, feature over 400 teams from 15 countries taking part in 15 age-categories for both boys and girls.
And it will provide JDT, Persib and Bangkok United the chance to test themselves against their counterparts from some of Europe’s famed youth systems in the “Professional Academy 7s” category.
