The 5th of March 2019 will be etched in the Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) history books when they kick off their challenge in the AFC Champions League (ACL) competition against defending champions, Kashima Antlers. [1/6]
The dream of playing in Asia's highest club competition was set as a key target for JDT since the club was established by HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, and that is materialising.

For the first time in history, a team from Malaysia will face the giants of Asian football and this provides valuable experience for the JDT players as well as the national team.

From a quality and experience standpoint, JDT is a small team, but this small team will give it their all to prove that their presence in Asia is not just to make up the numbers.
