Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) Under-16 will compete alongside several professional clubs from Europe and Asia in the JSSL Professional Academies 7s in Singapore from 19-21 April 2019. [1/6]

The foreign teams participating in the tournament include Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Valencia, Fulham, Urawa Red Diamonds, Perth Glory, Bangkok United and Persib Bandung.

"It is an honour for us to be invited alongside some established clubs in football," said JDT Technical Director Alistair Edwards.

"Participating in the JSSL Professional Academies 7s also offers JDT's youngsters a chance to display their talent and possibly even attract attention from established European clubs."

The tournament, which has several categories, is dubbed Asia’s largest youth tournament. Having grown from 40 teams in 2013 to 350 teams in 2018, 400 teams are expected for the 2019 edition.

Former England International and Manchester United striker Andy Cole is the guest of honour following appearances by Teddy Sheringham and Emile Heskey in previous years.
