The 2019 season is edging closer with the M-League kicking off in less than a month and, as usual, Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) have strengthened their squad for the new season and their defence of the Malaysian Super League title. [1/8]
JDT have recently completed their foreign player quota by signing three new players to complement their two current foreign stars. The long wait by fans to find out their identities is also over.

Former Lazio player Mauricio dos Santos Nascimento from Brazil is expected to lead the defence with his much-desired experience playing in the UEFA Champions League to help the Southern Tigers.

Besides him, JDT have also signed Spanish player Aaron Niguez from Oviedo. Set to play in attack, the brother of Spain forward Saul Niguez will be relied on to create exciting attacks for JDT.

To lead the attack, JDT have brought in Buriram United goal machine Diogo Luís Santo to the southern state. The lethal forward is expected to become one of the best foreign players to play for JDT if he can replicate his performance in Thailand.

The existing foreign players from last season are no strangers to the fans. Singapore and JDT captain Hariss Harun has once again been given the captain's armband and his calmness on the pitch will surely be an inspiration for his team-mates.

A favourite among JDT fans, Gonzalo Cabrera has been retained for a third season. He will once again terrorise defenders with his pace and dribbling skills. Those are definitely attributes expected by coaches to help JDT forwards.
[7/8]
JDT are seemingly well-equipped in every position involving the foreign players. However, local players will continue to be JDT's best bets and they will be the team's core and help the foreign players as a unit to bring success to JDT. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
