Johor Darul Ta'zim FC recently signed new foreign player Diogo Luis Santo. The former striker of the Thailand League champions Buriram United had haboured intentions of finding a new club since the start of 2018. [1/4]

According to Buriram owner and president, Newin Chidchob, the decision was not a hasty one and they were aware about it from before.

Diogo met the president early in the 2018 season and expressed his desire to consider a move should he receive good offers at the end of the 2018 campaign.

Newin also praised Diogo's professionalism for informing the club early, giving them one year to find a replacement. Diogo continued putting out good performances for the club throughout 2018.
