Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) Academy welcomed coaches from J1-League club Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo for the third consecutive year as part of a memorandum of understanding with the Japanese club that was signed in 2016. [1/5]

The visiting coaches viewed JDT's facilities - including the currently under construction Sultan Ibrahim Stadium - and attended the U-17 & U-15 training sessions on Wednesday,16 January 2019. The Japanese coaches then had sessions with the U-12,U-13&U-15 teams on Thursday.

JDT's academy coaches also had discussions with Sapporo's coaches regarding coaching philosophies and training methods.

The visit was part of JDT's continuous efforts in raising the standard of the Academy. Previous collaborations with German club Borussia Dortmund and Spanish side Valencia yielded results in 2018 when the academy emerged winners in several age groups.

The JDT Under-15 and Under-18 sides won the 2018 Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Football Tournament. The Under-13 team, meanwhile, won the JSSL International Soccer 7's in Singapore and the KPM-FAM Minister of Education Cup League. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
