The fitness of players is an important element in modern football and Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) are proud to have players in which the majority is fit to play at least 40 games per season. [1/8]

The physical training style and recovery done have helped the JDT players remain fit and free from injuries. It is on top of having an advanced training centre complete with the latest sports science equipment.

In modern football, each player needs to be fit for 120 minutes of game time. It is because a match can be extended to penalties and fitness becomes a main factor in determining the winner. [3/8]

It is being done by many professional clubs outside the country. They develop fit players based on requirements of today's game. The players are not only fit for 90 minutes but could also run for up to 120 minutes.

Besides that, the JDT players need to be fit to handle cold weather when playing intercontinental matches as well as fatigue from long-distance travels. If they are not fit, the players cannot be fielded and it will affect the team's preparations. [5/8]

Looking at statistics, JDT have scored many goals in the final 10 minutes of matches. With the fit players, JDT can increase the match intensity and punish opposition players who are showing signs of fatigue. [6/8]

Due to this factor, the club have prepared a nutritionist to monitor the players' diets. Besides that, a doctor, a physiotherapist and a masseur have been hired to monitor the players' injuries. [7/8]
