The 2019 AFC Champions League (ACL) draw took place on Thursday, 22 November 2018, but debutants Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) are still unsure who their opponents for the round-robin would be. [1/7]

This is because the Southern Tigers were drawn together with two teams from the Playoff round and a third-ranked Korean team, which is slated to be the K-League 1 runners-up.

The Korean league only ends on 2 December 2018. The battle for second is currently a two-horse race between Gyeongnam FC and Ulsan Hyundai with just two games to spare.

[3/7]

However, if Ulsan finishes second, their position in the ACL is still subject to the Korean FA Cup final (December 5 and 9) as Ulsan play against Daegu FC in the final. Ulsan will become the second-ranked team if they win the FA Cup, thus leaving Gyeongnam to join Group E.

As for positions No.3 and No.4 in the group, JDT will have to wait for the Playoff round on 19 February 2019 to know who they will play in the group stage.

[5/7]

Playoff 2 sees Japan's fourth-ranked club, either 2018 ACL winners Kashima Antlers, Sanfreece Hiroshima, Consadole Sapporo, FC Tokyo or Urawa Red Diamonds, go up against either Newcastle Jets (Australia), Home United (Singapore) or the Indonesia Liga 1 winners.

[6/7]

Playoff 4 sees China's Shandong Luneng or Beijing Guoan play either Bangkok United (Thailand) or Hanoi FC (Vietnam).
