THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL YEARS, SAFIQ

Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) would like to wish our former captain Safiq Rahim all the best in his future undertakings.

Thank you for being part of a successful era where the Southern Tigers won five straight Malaysia Super League titles, three Charity Cups, 2016 FA Cup, 2017 Malaysia Cup and the coveted 2015 AFC Cup.

[2/7]

Safiq was among the first batch of signings made by JDT ahead of the 2013 season when HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, the Crown Prince of Johor, kick-started a revolution that has seen the Southern Tigers expand to what it is today.

Now 31, Safiq played his way into the hearts of the fans during his six-year tenure.

Having won multiple winners' medals and personal accolades, Safiq is the most decorated player of the current generation of players. Safiq also captained the 2009 SEA Games and 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup-winning squads.

While at JDT, Safiq was named Best Midfielder in Malaysia twice (2015 and 2016), 2015 Most Valuable Player in Malaysia and perhaps his proudest personal achievement was being named 2015 AFC Cup Most Valuable Player.

Parting ways are always tough and sometimes challenging, but it is part and parcel of life, and we have memories to hold forever. Thank you for the lovely memories and all the best, Safiq.
