Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) Under-13's win on Saturday capped a great year for the Southern Tigers' academy in various age group competitions. The JDT Academy won trophies at Under-18, Under-15, and Under-13 in 2018. [1/5]

The JDT Under-15 and Under-18 sides won the 2018 Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Football Tournament. The Under-12 side reached the quarter-finals while the Under-13 team also won the JSSL International Soccer 7's in Singapore.

On Saturday, JDT Under-13 won the KPM-FAM Minister of Education Cup League after defeating a National Football Development Programme side 1-0 in the final.

The trophy was the academy's fourth in 2018 and the club's sixth across all teams after the senior team won the Malaysia Super League and Charity Cup this year.

The success, also stemming from the Southern Tigers' previous partnerships with German club Borussia Dortmund and Valencia of Spain, bodes well for the club's future as the academy aims to produce quality players for the senior team.
