Injuries can occur at any time and we should always be prepared in terms of knowledge and equipment to deal with unforeseen circumstances. For example, your ankle condition could be worsened due to injuries during play. [1/4]
The steps that need to be taken are;
• Apply ice on the ankle. Ice causes the ankle to numb and reduce pain immediately.
• Wrap a splint from the ankle up to the knee, immobilising the ankle in an effort to minimise the injury .

• Look at the ankle and feel for a pulse. If there is no pulse, get help to be sent to the hospital immediately.
• Painkiller may be needed.

• An X-Ray should be done to ensure there are no broken bones.
• A MRI scan can also be done afterwards to identify any torn ligaments.
