This includes identifying those with potential to serve JDT & win trophies.This is why JDT has good scouts to look for talent from all over. It cannot be denied that JDT have the best infrastructure around and a profesional set-up,so many would be eager to join JDT.

It's not something uncommon in football. Look at Bayern Munich in Germany, Real Madrid in Spain and Paris Saint-Germain in France. These are big clubs that constantly look to improve their squad.

Yet in Malaysia, signing players from other teams is often met with snide remarks. Even signing youngsters for the junior teams is questioned, when this is the practice of many football clubs around the world.

Otherwise Lionel Messi would have never gone to Barcelona, Neymar would have stayed in Brazil and David Beckham would not have played for Manchester United.

These clubs also have good academies to nuture foreign talent and produce their own, but development does not happen overnight and it is tough to break into senior teams at top clubs.

Sometime you get a batch of talented players, sometimes it is just a couple or none at all. 

At JDT, development is of utmost importance too and the club are beginning to see the fruits.

The Under-15 & Under-18 JDT-Valencia Academy won the Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Football Tournament in 2018 and that is a positive sign for JDT. This is an indication that JDT is producing quality talent, who will someday get promoted to the senior team.
