WHO PAID TOO MUCH? A club's financial problems is attributed to the mismanagement of the team. It means you are irresponsible and have spent beyond your means. This is what's happening in our nation’s football scene. Thread 1/13

There are some irresponsible parties refusing to take responsibilities for their actions and rather, pushing the blame to JDT saying that due the fact that JDT buys expensive players, they had no other options but to buy expensive players just to compete.
Thread 2/13
JDT is a big club and has successfully watched over it's expenses. For instance, when we signed Haziq Nadzli (national goalkeeper) he accepted a salary of RM11,000. Thread 3/13

JDT in the past have released players with high salaries such as Safee Sali, Nazrin Nawi, Chanturu and Gopinathan.
Safawi Rasid, our top scorer for this season & a valuable young player is only drawing a salary of RM12,000. Syamer Kutty,RM14,000&Dominic Tan,RM15,000 respectively. Thread 4/13 Having said this, players currently in JDT are paid wages which are reasonable and proportionate. Thread 5/13

Other clubs pay far higher salaries to their players. For example, Indra Putra Mayuddin is paid RM70,000 and Nor Shahrul Idlan Thalaha is paid up to RM100,000 when he was playing for ATM. Thread 6/13
Therefore, when there is a financial problem or when a team is unable to pay wages to their players, it is clearly due to overspending and is the fault of the management. Hence, don't use JDT as an excuse for your mistakes. Thread 7/13

When I signed Safawi from T-Team, he was offered between RM30,000 to RM40,000 from other teams, but he decided to come here for only RM12,000. Why? It is because this is a football club. Thread 8/13

You know when you play for JDT you will have the best facilities, best coaches, surrounded by the best players & will be playing on an international level like the AFC Cup.JDT players are given a reasonable wage & they receive a good bonus. It is a win-win situation. Thread 9/13
The exposure you get whilst playing is not only at the domestic level but international as well. Thread 10/13
Currently, Safawi and his peers will be the first players in the country to play in the ACL competition. So when some parties say that players come to JDT just for the money, it's not an entirely fair statement. Thread 11/13

They come here because they want to play for a professional football club. Thread 12/13

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate JDT for winning 11 trophies and having the best facilities, achieving successes on and off the field, all without using a single cent from the government. HRH Crown Prince of Johor Thread 13/13
