Sejak lawatan pertama Sultan Sir Abu Bakar ke Eropah pada tahun 1866 dan disusuli lawatan lain ke beberapa negara besar dunia, negeri Johor sentiasa mendapat perhatian yang istimewa di mata dunia. Pada 12 April 1930, Kerabat DiRaja Denmark telah membuat kunjungan rasmi ke negeri Johor yang diketuai oleh Putera Mahkota Denmark Prince Frederick, Prince Knud dan Prince Axel.
Seramai 130 tetamu diundang khas termasuk pembesar kerajaan Denmark. Keberangkatan tetamu diraja tersebut disambut oleh Pemangku Raja Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Sir Ibrahim yang menjadi wakil rasmi Sultan Johor. Meja santapan diraja dihias meriah dengan susunan bendera kerajaan Denmark dan set pinggan mangkuk yang terkenal pada abad ke-19 diperbuat dari emas, “The Ellenborough Collection” yang dibeli oleh Sultan Sir Abu Bakar sekitar tahun 1880an di Scotland turut digunakan pada majlis tersebut.
Kerabat Diraja Johor yang turut hadir adalah Tunku Aris Bendahara Abu Bakar dan Tunku Temenggong Ahmad. Dalam majlis tersebut, Dato’ Menteri Besar Johor memulakan ucapan dengan mendoakan kesihatan King Christian ke-10 iaitu King of Denmark manakala ucapan balas dilakukan oleh Putera Mahkota Denmark Prince Frederick yang mendoakan kesejahteraan Sultan Johor serta menzahirkan setinggi penghargaan mereka terhadap hubungan dua hala yang sedia terjalin, layanan istimewa keluarga diraja Johor dan keindahan negeri Johor. Since Sultan Sir Abu Bakar's first visit to Europe in 1866 and subsequent visits to other big nations, Johor was always getting special attention from around the world. On April 12th 1930, the Danish Royal Family made an official visit to Johor, led by Crown Prince of Denmark Prince Frederick, Prince Knud and Prince Axel.
A total of 130 guests were specially invited including Danish government officials. The royal guests arrival was greeted by Regent of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Sir Ibrahim as Sultan of Johor's official representative. The royal dining tables were decorated with flags of Denmark and golden cultery made in the 19th century, the Ellenborough Collection, which was bought by Sultan Abu Bakar around 1880 in Scotland, was used for the function.
The Johor Royal Family members who were present were Tunku Aris Bendahara Abu Bakar and Tunku Temenggong Ahmad. During the function, Dato' Menteri Besar of Johor began with a speech by praying for the health of King Christian X, King of Denmark, and it received a response from Crown Prince of Denmark Prince Frederick, who wished for Sultan of Johor's prosperity and extended their appreciation for the existing two-way relationship, the special treatment from the Johor Royal Family, and the beauty of Johor.
