FAKTA MENARIK | SEJARAH NEGERI JOHOR | KESULTANAN JOHOR DI ‘CHICAGO WORLD’S FAIR’ 1893 - BAHAGIAN 3
Sultan Abu Bakar telah melantik Rounsevelle Wildman, seorang wakil dari Amerika Syarikat untuk menjaga pameran di ‘Johore Bungalow’. Rounsevelle pernah bertugas sebagai konsulat Amerika Syarikat di Singapura dari tahun 1890 hingga 1893.
Antara wakil orang Melayu yang mengikuti rombongan rasmi Kesultanan Johor adalah Abu El Hade dan Moonading. Potret mereka turut dirakamkan sebagai kenangan semasa ‘Chicago World’s Fair’ tersebut. Pameran tersebut juga untuk berkongsi kemajuan dan kejayaan setiap negara yang menyertainya.

Sultan Abu Bakar appointed Rounsevelle Wildman of the United States to take care of the displays at the Johore Bungalow. Rounsevelle once served as an American consultant in Singapore from 1890 to 1893.
Among the Malay representatives joining the Johor Sultanate's official expedition were Abu El Hade and Moonading. Portraits of them were also captured to commemorate the Chicago World's Fair. The exhibition was also meant to share the progress and achievements of every participating country.
