FAKTA MENARIK | SEJARAH NEGERI JOHOR | DEWAN NEGERI JOHOR
Dewan Negeri Johor diketuai oleh Sultan Johor sebagai Ketua Negeri, seorang Speaker dan Ahli-ahli Dewan Negeri. Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Tubuh Kerajaan Negeri 1895 Bahagian 2 Fasal 26, pembukaan rasmi Dewan Negeri Johor akan dilakukan oleh Sultan Johor. Baginda akan menyampaikan perutusan dalam upacara perasmian Dewan Negeri.
Ahli-ahli Mesyuarat Negeri akan mengangkat sumpah jawatan di hadapan Sultan Johor. Kesemua jawatan termasuk Menteri Besar adalah atas lantikan Baginda. Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Tubuh Kerajaan Negeri 1895 Bahagian 2 Fasal 23, Baginda mempunyai kuasa untuk membubarkan Dewan Negeri. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

The Johor State Assembly is led by Sultan of Johor as the State Leader, a speaker, and State Assembly members. Based on the Part 2 Clause 26 of the 1895 Johor State Constitution, the opening of a Johor State Assembly session will be conducted by Sultan of Johor. His Majesty will deliver a speech during an official State Assembly ceremony.
The State Assembly members will take an oath of office in front of Sultan of Johor. All appointments including the Menteri Besar will be up to His Majesty's discretion. Based on the Part 2 Clause 23 of the 1895 State Constitution, His Majesty holds the power to dissolve the State Assembly. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.
