PARENTS URGED TO SEND THEIR CHILDERN TO ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS UNTIL THEY GRADUATE SPECIAL GRADE
I would like to urge to parents send their children to Islamic religous school and keep them in the school until they finish the special grade (darjah khas). Islamic religious schools in Johor are really special because they are the only specialised religious school and have been for the last 100 years. So far, Johor has 579 Islamic religious schools and 192 Islamic religious kindergartens.
Amongst others, the state government also emphasizes this through Islamic religious schools where they provide various facilities like low school fees, Johor Council of Islamic Affairs (MAIJ) also introduced the religious textbook loan scheme for standard 1 through 3 for free. My target is that before the year 2020, the religious textbook programme will include all streams including special grade and Islamic religious kindergartens in Johor
The Johor state government has allocated RM4 million for school fees, uniforms and health food to be distributed to the needy.
HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, The Crown Prince of Johor, Chairman of the Johor Council of Islamic Affairs
